So I am at Costco and it isn't packed but I have had my cart struck at least six times by idiots who can't steer in an orderly fashion. I won't pick on a race that seems to be the worst offender but to say I have some of it in my own gene pool and I steer my cart with manners and care. Am I missing something in this bulk-buying frenzied experience?

Andre',
You want to know what really irked me the other day? I was at K-Mart shopping with my 2-year-old. I had one of those children's video car carts. My cart, with items in it, was parked at the end of the isle. Momentarily, my daughter and I were looking at toys.
Another shopper with a toddler had the nerve to actually switch carts on me!!! Her cart's battery wasn't fully charged, and the children's video wouldn't play.
The lady took the items out of my cart, set them on another shelf. Left her inoperable cart (as if I wouldn't notice) and walked away with my cart - which by the way - they actually have different license plates. #1, #2, #3, etc.
I was so pissed! I just wanted to tell her how rude she was. My husband didn't want to approach the lady. He is more reserved, and polite. Afterall, what would I have gained? She was no lady, I'll tell ya! What nerve, though!
I guess it wouldn't have mattered if I approached her anyhow. She lacks courtesy and class. I certainly cannot teach it to her. Its her "type" that walk around Costco and could care less about politeness to others.
Good rant. I enjoy your blog MisterWriter.
Yes I am sick of all the people crashing their carts into me.
being deaf also makes it awkward because I cannot hear people say "excuse me" behind me and I always get a look of disgust as they walk past... don't assume everyone can hear!
