you know what, he sounds just like MDUSD trustee PAUL STRANGE! Could it be that Paul has a secret identity?

The Mayor sounds a bit younger than Paul (sorry Paul). And, the Mayor stated that he lives in Walnut Creek. Paul lives in Concord.
Paul Strange is from New Mexico. The Mayor stated that he was raised here and he graduated from CVHS.

I thought it was the reverse - The Mayor lives in Concord and Paul Strange lives in Walnut Creek.
