| I'm tired, because my first three jobs don't pay enough I fear. I'm tired, because problems always seem to precede solutions near. I'm tired, because it seems that only words get said; what changes but the tone? I'm tired, sometimes too tired to be happy to be home. We live in uncertain times, Lots of folks don't mind; I watch them in and out of stores, This day, that day, rote "out of business" celebrations... I'm tired, The greedy of the world have set the tone, And the honest fools get left to find a way to meander through the mud that is left, when country, state and county are bereft. Give me your tired and your poor, And I can show you many more, All so tired, tried and true, Patriotic as me and you. I'm tired of the words that glib so politically, Rhetorically correct yet empty, empty, empty, and the folks that, optimistic by their natures be, Bode us well with hapless brighter days, foretold like fortunes left to see. I'm tired, When logic states that nothing comes from nothing and even less from debt, When trillions becomes a little word that Kindergartners said, Paid down in centuries, not lives, not family, surely not in mine, While fools in corporate paradise take jets on other people's dimes. I'm tired, you see, too tired to shut you off, Confused by all the mess that screams for someone else to start Clean it up, sweep it away, pretend, negotiate it down, inverted and perverted into some old fiscal rhyme. I remember in my youth, when honor held gold's standard, when handshakes counted, spirit mattered, where ethics were unsplintered. Sadly, I see, those days are lost, Our youth cling to the moment, Where crime is reveled as a cause and liberty is old. Where are the heroes once so bold, Whose valor saved the day? It seems that in my tired state, With the news they went away. And so, dear friends, Uncertain and unsure, Just what will make a brighter day, I'm tired for a cause. |

I'm tired too. But, there must be a brighter tomorrow. There just has to be!
Good night.
I am sorry you are tired. I wish I could help. I believe and always will that there will be a better tomorrow. "This To Will Pass". Hold your loved ones and feel revived that you can hold them. You have a loved one. Money is not all there is and we will learn AGAIN from our mistakes. Thank God for the Rainbow and the rain.
Totally agreed. It is just a common sentiment I hear expressed everywhere. We shall look for the rain to stop, soon.
You changed the picture. That's a self-portrait, or a self-sketch. I see.
The worst part of the tired herein I see
is that it comes about with no work from thee,
It is a tiredness poured into little ole me
from events and conditions I wish I could flee.
Nice Edi
