I heard San Ramon Valley Unified had to send out 250 pink slips. They have a $90 parcel tax that expires this year. They tried for a $166 parcel tax last May and 63% voted in favor of the tax - but they needed 67%. What a heartbreak! This May, they are going to try again for a $144 parcel tax.
I hope everyone will support MDUSD's parcel tax. $99 a year is not too much to ask.
I wish there was data showing support for more $$. $99 is so little. People are calling it the latte factor, many pay more than that on their daily coffee at Peets or Starbucks. I guess we have to start somewhere.. and I'm in support.
