THE POST-MEASURE D PLAN FOR THE MDUSD HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS TO BE RESTORED.

The recently formed United Mt. Diablo Athletics Foundation, chaired by CVHS's Pat Middendorf and hosting a variety of key players from Jeff Adams on, has started raising funds for the restoration of high school athletics with a $3000 from haircuts at Sports Clips. In addition, MDUSD trustee Gary Eberhart reported on the MDUSD Blog that it was also likely that players would need to make some kind of voluntary donation to play. “I assume that it will have to be funded entirely by parent/student donations,” Eberhart suggested. “Many districts do this already, typically asking students to donate about $400 per sport that they would like to play. The donations will have to be. If there are enough donations to fund the program, we will be able to have a sports program.” Click here to read the full posting.
