THERE IS SO MUCH OF OUR TRASH FLOATING AROUND IN SPACE THAT THIS SHUTTLE MISSION IS IN DANGER - a second shuttle is standing by just in case.

Two shuttles are better than one Humanity is good at several things; waging war and generating trash. Such is the case with space debris that threatens to damage the Space Shuttle Atlantis while astronauts attempt to repair the Hubble Space Telescope. In fact, the danger is so big that the mission was once canceled and now requires a second shuttle on standby to rescue the astronauts should the Atlantis get damaged. Do you think that means we have left a mess in space? The first shuttle leaves tomorrow.

You can read the article HERE but I would like to suggest that the reason ET has not visited us yet is because we leave our trash as our calling card. There is intelligent life in the universe and I know this because they have stayed away!  Live long and ...clean up!

Listen and watch NASA TV for live ongoing coverage of the mission HERE
